I just thought I should let everybody know just how much I LOVE Sequim! There is just something special about this area. I would even say magical. Something keeps drawing me back here. I know this is probably where Nathan and I will end up after his career in the Air Force. I love all my friends and family that are here, and also just the landscape. Everyday it takes my breath away and I realize how blessed I am to have grown up here..

Greetings!
Well Hello Everyone!
I know it has been a while, but I have been quite busy, trying to stay off the computer as much as possible! I love being back in Sequim, and I am going to miss it when we move down to Florida. However, Florida does sound pretty exciting! Nathan graduates from his Cryptology School on April 21st. I will be making a trip down to Texas to see him :)
Since returning to Sequim, I have been practically living at my friends house. Every minute that neither of us is doing something, we spend together. Ashley and Steffen have also just bought a house, and are closing on it next week! They are super excited and I get to be a part of all of this. What else are best friends for?? I will be helping them pack up all of their goodies and get them settled into their new home.
Ashley and I have also challenged ourselves to eat healthier and lose some weight in the process. This has been an interesting challenge, but I think we are doing pretty well. We both got Gym Memberships at SARC. I love that place. Its a blast to work out in, especially late at night because the place is empty!! And it is always more fun to have a workout buddy.
My good friend Rachel is pregnant with a boy! Ashley and I drove out to Tacoma to visit her for her baby shower! The little tyke is due in May, and everyone is excited!!! Ashley and I put some money together to buy them a crib. And, due to a little inspiration from Cassandra in Monterey, I decided to paint them a couple monkey paintings that way they would have some decor for the baby's room. This has really gotten me into an arts and crafts mood. So I may have to figure out what to do with that outlet.
Last but not least, I have been digging myself a trench in the yard. Well, its not for me but rather to find the rascal of a leak that is in our water main somewhere on this dang property. So everyday I manage to unearth a couple feet of piping. (its really hard work because its not dirt here, its all rocks!!!!!)
And! Shockingly enough, I have managed to keep my room/apartment clean for about 3 days running! For those of you who know me, this is quite a feat!!! I am really really trying :P

Long Time no Blogger
Heya Everybody!!!
I am back!! My time in China was wonderful! I spent the whole time in Shanghai, visiting with my dad, step mom and lil sister. It was so nice to see them again. Shanghai is a very very VERY modern city. It was a very different atmosphere from Sequim. I was staying in the Pudong part of the city. From my dad's apartment on the 24th floor, we had a beautiful view of the river, and what was called "The Bund". We could even see Papa's office. He worked in a bank, that was very beautiful. I did a bit of shopping in China (SURPRISE!!!! not really )
Here are some photos from my trip:

While at home, I watched the same three disney movies OVER AND OVER!! Thanks to Chinchu, she loves anything that has to do with Princesses or Barbie.
Its nice to be back in Sequim, but I really Really REALLY miss my husband. It isn't easy to not have him around all the time. Thank goodness for Ashley and Steffen for keeping my mind of things :) Its good to have such awesome friends like them!

Life without Nathan
Well, the first week sure did suck, it was really hard to get to sleep without Nathan there. I am slowly getting accustomed to being without him. I miss him like crazy, but i have been keeping myself busy. Nathan's mum had a leak in her pipe here on the property somewhere. My good friends Ashley and her husband have been helping me try to find this leak... It is pretty much trying to find a needle in a haystack. but it saves us all so much money. So, we have been digging away in the wonderful rocky soil, we found one leak at the house for the junction, but it wasn't the main leak. However, a wonderful dumping of snow has prolonged this process some, so we haven't been able to dig.
Instead, Ashley and I went shopping a little bit and then went on a Photo Shoot. We went to Carrie Blake Park, and also Railroad Bridge park. What a blast that was. Here are some photos!
I am very excited, my trip to china begins on Monday the 17th! I will keep you all posted on the happenings! Take care everyone!
Nathan isn't gone gone, just in Texas for his training.. for those of you who didn't know!

New Years
Well this year for New Years, I went with Ashley and Steffen Estep to Vancouver, Washington to attend Barbara's wedding. (an old mutual friend) Ashley was the maid of honor, so we had lots to do to prepare for the wedding .We ran around buying flowers, make-up, jackets for the wedding party (it was in the snow). That night, we made her bouquets and did her nails. The boys were drinking to celebrate the new year. Well, after a bit of drinking the boys got the munchies.. So us girls decided to go out and get them some taco bell. We took Ashley's truck... (This enormous dodge, with a diesel engine) We get to taco bell, of course the engine is SO LOUD that we have to turn the truck off at every window because it echo's through their intercom system... Every time you turn on the diesel engines, you have to make sure it is warm enough... so we sit for a bit and let the truck warm up.. we head out of the drive through and turn left onto the main drag....and the engine dies! Totally dead!! No lights, no steering, no heavy braking...no nothing... lucky there was enough battery for the hazard lights... but that is about it... Us three girls are trying to figure out if we should cry or laugh... we were only about a mile away from home... but... the truck was toast! We sat there for about 10 mins, and tried the engine again... nothing.. not even a click! so Ashley calls her hubby to let him know...that we are stranded... just as she calls him... a tow truck pulls in in front of us.. YAY!!!! the guy comes out and asks us whats wrong... we told him the story, he backs his truck up in front of us and tries to jump the truck... still nothing...sooooo he loads us up onto the back of his truck. Well first, he lets us know that there is only 1 seat up in his cab...so Barbara lets him know that we will be fine in Ashley's truck... so he tells me to lay down across the back seat, and ash and Barb to lean their seats back since its not technically legal for us to ride in the back . by then, we are in a giggle fit, we can barely breathe. As the tow truck lifts us onto the bed, it felt like we were on a roller coaster heading to the top of the ride about to plummet down! It was soo cool. so the ride starts, and we felt so top heavy.. it was a little bit scary.. after about 4 minutes we pull into barb's driveway..and their hubbies come out and as Josh (barbs hubby says) they just walk up to the truck..and the front seats pop up...with a red head and a brunet.. both leaning out of the windows saying.. Hi honey!!! cracked them up so much (but they were both kind of drunk too) . so Steffen asks Ashley to try the truck.. Ashley turns the key...and the engine ROARS to life. Everyone was dumbstruck..even the tow truck driver.
Had to be the best New Years yet!
Kudos to the Truck driver for stopping to help us, it turns out he was on his way to help his sister, whose car was on fire, so thank you for helping us!
Oh, and the wedding was Beautiful! Congratulations Barbara and Joshua!

Washington
Well, It is so wonderful to be back in The Wash! I have missed the mountains and the trees! Its just too beautiful of a place, and I am very attached to Sequim. The drive up was.. interesting.. but we made it safely. However it took FOREVER to get out of California! and we arrived in Medford Oregon at 4 in the freaking morning! what a long day that was! and we didn't arrive in Sequim until 11 at night.. but it was smooth riding all the way! We slept for a day, then we went Christmas Tree Hunting up Palo Alto, came home with a beauty! It was nice to see the snow again! Then I went and spent some quality time with my old friends, and still have to find the time to visit others. I have never been this popular with people calling and texting me all the time wanting me to come visit. Feels nice! We will be spending Christmas Eve at my mom's place, then going to Nathan's family's place, then maybe to Canada, then back to Sequim. We will have Christmas with Nathans dad before we leave, and then with Nathan's mom when we get back! Then Nathan heads off to Texas, :( I am not ready to be apart. I wish I had more time with him. Santa paid us a visit and placed a few presents under the tree.
Mid january, I will be taking a trip to China, to visit my dad and do some sightseeing. I wish Nathan could come, but I am very excited to go! It will be a good time.
I must say I have really enjoyed seeing more Nature here. It is nice. Ill post some pictures of our escapades.

English can be Confusing
I was stumbling across the internet and came across this! The Author definitely has a point!
We'll begin with a box, and the plural is boxes,
But the plural of ox becomes oxen, not oxes.
One fowl is a goose, but two are called geese,
Yet the plural of moose should never be meese.
You may find a lone mouse or a nest full of mice,
Yet the plural of house is houses, not hice.
If the plural of man is always called men,
Why shouldn't the plural of pan be called pen?
If I speak of my foot and show you my feet,
And I give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?
If one is a tooth and a whole set are teeth,
Why shouldn't the plural of booth be called beeth?
Then one may be that, and three would be those,
Yet hat in the plural would never be hose,
And the plural of cat is cats, not cose.
We speak of a brother and also of brethren,
But though we say mother, we never say methren.
Then the masculine pronouns are he, his and him,
But imagine the feminine: she, shis and shim!
Let's face it - English is a crazy language.
There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger;
Neither apple nor pine in pineapple.
English muffins weren't invented in England.
We take English for granted,
but if we explore its paradoxes,
We find that quicksand can work slowly,
boxing rings are square,
and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.
And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing,
grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham?
Doesn't it seem crazy that
you can make amends but not one amend.
If you have a bunch of odds and ends
and get rid of all but one of them,
what do you call it?
If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught?
If a vegetarian eats vegetables,
what does a humanitarian eat?
Sometimes I think all the folks
who grew up speaking English
should be committed to an asylum for the verbally insane.
In what other language do people
recite at a play and play at a recital?
We ship by truck but send cargo by ship.
We have noses that run and feet that smell.
We park in a driveway and drive in a parkway.
And how can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same,
while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites?
You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language
in which your house can burn up as it burns down,
in which you fill in a form by filling it out,
and in which an alarm goes off by going on.
And, in closing, if Father is Pop,
how come Mother's not Mop?
